Former MÖTLEY CRÜE Drummer Selling House Where Boy Drowned
December 16, 2002Former MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee has put his home up for sale, almost a year-and-a-half after a young boy drowned in his pool, the Los Angeles Times reported on Sunday.
Lee is selling because he is engaged to singer-dancer Mayte Garcia, who was once wed to Prince, and they want to buy a house together in the L.A. area.
"Both of his children [by ex-wife actress Pamela Anderson] were born while he was living there," said co-listing agent Beth Ann Green.
Tommy bought the house, described as Moorish in style, in 1995. The house was in the news in July 2001 when a 4-year-old boy accidentally drowned in the pool during a birthday party.
The house, built in 1991 on nearly 2.5 acres behind gates, has six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in about 7,400 square feet. There is also a media room, a three-car garage and an elevator.
Lee, 40, recently released his second solo album (first under his own name),"Never A Dull Moment", most of which was recorded in his Malibu home.
